Learning about God growing up, the image of a strict, rule-enforcing accountant was neatly packaged in the picture of the elder Heavenly Father sitting in judgement keeping track of my life: good versus bad actions; reward or punishment. It’s difficult to get that “tit for tat” concept out of my head. When people try to rationalize the “whys” in their lives we sometimes think that this certain “bad thing”, disaster, or event may have happened because I was being punished for something that I did. God is paying me back. Others think that karma has a way of bringing judgement. Guilt at its best! Secret #1: Don’t let religion get in the way of your relationship with God. As we journey through life we all experience celebrations, devastating losses, difficult days, and joyous reunions. We need these situations, all of them, in order to develop spiritually. At times we may think we are walking alone, but we are not. Feel the love and guidance from within and without. Look, listen, and feel your relationship with your All-Loving Creator as manifested just for you and begin to live guilt-free.
I’m looking forward to my interview with Steve Jorgenson on an internet radio station. The interview airs on Sunday, April 1st (but nothing foolish about it!) – 5:00-6:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (or 2 pm for my local Mountain Time friends). Listen to TogiNet Radio at www.toginet.com.
