Change your thoughts…change the world!

Thoughts are powerful….for the good or not so good.

Your thoughts affect your everyday life…how you care for yourself, what you do with your hours during day, how you speak, etc.

Your thoughts affect not only you, but others around you. You can almost feel a person with a negative attitude. Sometimes they don’t even have to speak to know they carry negative vibes or bad mojo. You don’t have to be a physic to know someone’s in a bad mood.

People will shy away from someone putting out negative energy. We find it draining to be around some of these people who suck the life energy right out of us.

On the other hand, people will be attracted to the person radiating positivity. Many friends will surround the “fun person” who brings light and laughter to them. These people share joy and uplift everyone else.

What you put out will return to you for better or worse. It’s in our power to change our attitudes bringing up as much joy as possible in this lifetime.

And it all starts within. Think beautiful thoughts and the world will be beautiful.

What can we do? Where do we start?

  • Count your blessings. Instead of being focus on the body parts that don’t work as well as they used to. Say a prayer of thanksgiving for those parts that are still serving you.
  • Change you mindset: Pretend you are writing a column for your local newspaper entitled, “My Life Through Rose Colored Glasses”. Look for the silver lining in every situation
  • Get up and get moving: every day making it a priority to do some physical, mental, and spiritual exercise. Walk, do a crossword puzzle, listen to a guided mediation or pray a psalm.

I think you will be surprised if you try these 3 simple strategies that your positivity will bloom and grow.

Challenge: wear a rubber band around your wrist and when you find yourself slipping into a negative, judgmental thought, snap your wrist for an immediate “attitude adjustment’!

What works to keep you in a positive frame of mind?
