Joe and I have been enjoying the sights and savors of Italy the past couple of weeks. Traveling in a foreign country takes us out of our status quo causing us to wonder “why” things happen the way that they do. Late trains, missed connections, and near-miss accidents with crazy drivers are a few that come to mind. These happenstances can bring us to an understanding of the wholeness and why of life.
Trying to Make Sense of Things? Everything Happens For a Reason. Observe and note the synchronicity in everyday happenings. There are no coincidences in life. Observe in nature how it all works together. Why should we be any different. Life works in patterns and rhythms, creating beauty and oneness. Please take a few minutes and watch Louie Schwartzberg’s video on nature, beauty, and gratitude. Be sure to stay to the end to hear what Benedictine monk, Brother David Seindl-Rast, has to say about making it a “good day.”
Guilt-Free Tip of the Week: Know all is Perfect. Develop an “attitude of gratitude”, living each day as it is your first day and your last day. Savor the moment.
