“Dear Lord, I’m getting impatient!  You KNOW our house has been on the market for far too long without an offer.  You KNOW how much time, energy, not to mention, the money, that we have put into updating with heated bathroom floors, huge flat screen TVs and even an original ski lift chair in our front yard. We’ve even buried St. Joseph a few times and reduced the price many times.

People would be nuts not to love this home. You KNOW this home would make some family jump for joy BUT….. And I KNOW that you know best…BUT……Come on, Lord…”

I think my heartfelt prayer rings similar to many prayers that we pelt at Heaven’s door. In Catholic school I learned that these are referred to as prayers of “supplication”.  Like if we really begged, and pleaded long and hard enough God would “give in” change His mind and grant our request!

NOW….. I know that there is a Greater Plan; one that I’m not privy to understanding while here on earth.  What I need to do is “relax in the Lord” – totally give up control and loosen my grip and just turn it over to God.  The key is to RELEASE and go with the flow of life.

RELEASE the following:

Beliefs –That this is the way that it SHOULD be.  We’ve worked hard and deserve it to be so.

Judgments –This is the right way. There is only one correct answer. Those others are misguided.

Things –I need this to be happy. If only I had this or lived there.

People– I can’t walk away from them, they’re family!

These beliefs, judgments, things, and people constrict you controlling your thoughts and draining your energy.  They tie you up in knots and pull you away from what is really important….the Now moment. The present moment leads you to your destiny.  Isn’t that’s what they say?  “Life is what happens while you are busy making plans.”

Let go of it ALL, putting everything in God’s hands.  God has your backside and will make sure you get exactly what you need when you need it.

Trust that the Spirit knows you, your needs, and will provide the “good things” in life for your happiness and the “hardships” for your growth.  Trust the Universal Love at work.

“Dear Lord, I know that your love for me is immeasurable and YOUR timing is impeccable!  I put all my doubts, fears, anxiousness, worry and frustration in your very capable hands releasing the outcomes to your divine plan.  I understand that everything will work out for the best….eventually!  I live in gratitude, thanksgiving, and praise!  You’re the BOSS! Amen.”
