Ever wonder what God is thinking?

Ever wonder what God is thinking?

We often hear others ask in astonishment, “What were you THINKING?”  Getting into the heads of others is quite a difficult task, but it would certainly unlock the   doors of understanding to many questionable behaviors.

Have you ever wondered what God was thinking?  About you?  About your friends, family, or the world situation?   If we can get “into God’s head” it would be like turning the light on in a darkened room.  In all my research I found 3 major thought patterns that might help us to think like God!

1)   When we do something for someone else, outside of our small circle of “friends and family”, that is the initial thought.  We need to start feeling and thinking in terms of loving others, outside our situation.  God’s love is a universal view of the world. God does not discriminate.  We are all a part of God’s family.

2)   Love yourself, putting judgment aside.  Our inner critic is so busy judging ourselves and everyone around us that we are not thinking as God does. God loves every step on our journey, no matter how badly we think that we screwed up. Comfort, encourage and forgive yourself….God does.

3)   Suspend the concept of “time” seeing the Bigger Picture. Our sense of time is an earthly constraint.  God sees everything as NOW.  Our prayers have already been answered and our problems already solved!  We just have to watch the movie of our lives as it plays out.   God sees situations as they REALLY are – stepping-stones on our journey.

Thinking like God moves us a little closer to how it REALLY is.

Here’s to your happiness!
