“Is God everywhere?’ quizzed a little boy during breakfast with his mother.
“Yes, everywhere,” replied his mom.
“Is God here with us in this room?”
“Of course. He is in our kitchen.”
“Is God in my cup?”
“Uh…yes.” She wondered just where the conversation was leading.
“Gotcha!” The boy slapped both of his hands over the top of the cup. Grinning, he exclaimed, “I caught God.”
Like that little boy, we are always searching for God. We are on a lifetime spiritual journey to connect with our Divine Source. We hope to yell, “Gotcha.” But so often, our efforts seem to lead to failure rather than success. It’s not that God is hiding from us, but that we fail to see the divine invitations extended to us.
God gives us invitations to meet him every day. Every second. God reveals his plan and presence in our lives though G-vites. These G-vites, or invitations from God, beckon us to connect with the Divine in a personal relationship.
