An emphasis on gratitude is paramount to a rich spiritual life. Remember the song? “When I’m worried and I can’t sleep…
I just count my blessings instead of sheep….”
Abundance surrounds us, yet we get caught up in anxiety, worry, and guilt. Binding ties cut off our joy when stress and fret replace trust and contentment. It seems like we are in constant search for “more” NOW.
When do we call “uncle” on ourselves knowing that we ARE and HAVE “enough”? We are good enough, smart enough, thin enough, and successful enough. Do we have to keep searching for more money, bigger houses, more friends, and more, more, more?
Let’s shift our thinking from “what more do I want”, to “wow, look what I am blessed with” Let’s celebrate the abundance that surrounds us.
Give priority to the abundance in your life by “counting your blessings” as you fall asleep each night. To help focus try counting them alphabetically –I’m grateful for my favorite Aunt, the Bread that sustains me, the Country that I live in… Guaranteed you will be comforted with a blanket woven with joy, abundance, and thanksgiving throughout the night. Sleep well knowing you are exactly where you should be with the Universe providing exactly what you need.
