Did you feel the adjustment on Feb. 29th? 2016, being a leap year adds an extra day at the end of Feb. Every four years it is necessary to rearrange our calendars to slow down to reflect the solar system’s disparity with the Gregorian calendar.

A complete orbit of the earth around the sun takes exactly 365.2422 days to complete, but the Gregorian calendar uses 365 days. Adding an extra day acts as a means of keeping our clocks and calendars in sync with the Earth and its seasons.

Every four years the universe has to adjust to the Universal Laws.

Ah, such is life! Adjustments need to be made, not only to calendars, but also to how we move down our journey’s path to accommodate. Just as the earth spins on its axis, the world turns, and we travel through space, we too have to readjust, rearrange, and rethink to keep a logical and consistent order in our lives.

The world we live in, juggling the moon, the sun, and the earth operates in cycles and phases, as do we. We sometimes think of it as our “comfort zones”.

But oftentimes, adjustments need to be made to our thinking, outlook, opinions and attitudes to meet the demands of the changing times to keep “in sync” with what is asked of us.

God gives us invitations to move through the seasons of adversity, challenges, happiness and abundance. We meet these invitations in the people that come into our lives and the situations that befall us.

If we don’t make the required adjustments, our “destiny” is out of sync, just like failing to sync the calendars.

We need to remember that these “adjustments” that pull us outside of our normal, logical, order of life, may not be comfortable but will work out for the best in the end.

Look back on all the situations in your life. By analyzing situations in the past we can see how events and situations really did all come together making us stronger. Often, looking back can provide hope for the future. Try to find the synchronicity in your life. Appreciate the “wholeness” and the “holiness” in your life.

Mother Teresa said she realized that God would not give her more than she could handle, but she wished that God didn’t trust her so much!

If Mother Teresa had to make “adjustments” in her life, then we too can take this Leap of Faith in this Leap Year to whatever the Universe is asking of us.

Go ahead, take the leap of faith!
